As antisemitism continues to surge nationwide, now more than ever policymakers must take concrete actions to better safeguard the Jewish community, both on the streets and online.

The bipartisan Jewish American Security Act (JASA) seeks to increase annual funding appropriated to securing and protecting Jewish institutions nationwide, while requiring college campuses that receive federal funding to institute better mechanisms to combat on-campus discrimination, including antisemitism.

Upon passage, JASA will authorize the designation of an Antisemitism Coordinator at the Department of Education to spearhead the department’s fight against antisemitism. It will also implement transparency measures requiring large social media companies to disclose their policies for how they treat antisemitic content on their platforms.
