StandWithUs Saidoff Law, together with First Liberty Institute, filed an amicus curiae brief in United States v. Party for Socialism and Liberation New Jersey et al., on April 6, 2026, pending in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. The case arose from the targeted disruption of a synagogue event at Congregation Ohr Torah in West Orange, NJ, where protesters allegedly blocked access and interfered with congregants engaged at the time in prayer, memorial observance, and other core Jewish religious practices. The brief defends enforcement of the federal FACE Act and makes clear that the First Amendment protects Jewish religious life as it is practiced, not as outsiders seek to limit it. Courts cannot second-guess or narrow the scope of sincerely held religious exercise, including the ability to gather together, enter places of worship, and worship safely.
