Jewish California 2026 Superintendent of Public Instruction Candidate Forum

Who Will Lead California’s Schools – And Will They Stand Up for Jewish Students?

The next California Superintendent of Public Instruction will oversee the largest public school system in the nation – serving nearly six million students. For the Jewish community, this election couldn’t matter more. Antisemitism in California schools has surged in recent years. In response, we led the passage of AB 715 – California’s landmark school antisemitism prevention law. But a law is only as strong as its enforcement. The next Superintendent will be responsible for implementing AB 715 and setting the tone for how California schools respond to antisemitism on campus. We will hear from the leading candidates directly. We’ll ask the candidates to go on the record about the issues most important to our community. These include AB 715 implementation, responding to campus antisemitism, and their vision for safe and inclusive schools for Jewish and all students across California.
