Roz Rothstein, CEO and Co-founder of StandWithUs International, spent the week in Brazil alongside the StandWithUs Brazil team and October 7 survivor Eli Sharabi, on a powerful tour spanning São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. In Rio, more than 600 people gathered to honor Eli and hear the story of his beyond-miraculous survival, in a moving event led by Andre Lajst, StandWithUs Director of Latin American Operations.  The offices in South America are based in Brazil.  Andre interviewed Eli Sharabi at the events. The tour also brought Eli to Globo, Brazil’s largest television network, carrying his testimony to millions who need to hear it. Throughout the visit, Roz took part in a wide range of activities with the local team, from speaking at public events and media, to meetings with community supporters and organizational partners. Among the highlights were visits to two of São Paulo’s largest Jewish schools, where the StandWithUs education team works side by side with administrators and teachers, providing everything from lectures to classroom materials, including Haggadahs. The gratitude expressed by the schools and community members on all levels reflects the extraordinary impact of the Brazil team on the ground.
